The South Asian wedding photography tells the story of everything

Amanda + Suraj

Amanda tells the story of how she met Suraj, "We met in 2013 when I moved to NYC. We both worked together. Ironically, Suraj actually interviewed me. Him and another manager both wanted me on their team, but fortunately my background was more geared towards the other team. A few months after working together, we started dating and the rest is history! We both worked in sales. Suraj still does and I'm in more of an operational/product commercialization role. We've lived together now for about 7 years, we have a beloved dog named Toby. Before Covid, we loved traveling. During Covid, we started to hike which became our new hobby.

Each year we try to take a trip to Cape Cod for vacation. On our trip in 2019, Suraj proposed. It was a complete surprise! He told me we were going to a restaurant about an hour away that his coworker highly recommended. His "coworker" also suggested we go early to take pictures at the lighthouse. Conveniently, when got there somebody was pulling out (the photographers wife) so we could pull in. There were literally only 4 parking spots. I was eager to go see the views near the beach, and Suraj wanted to go up to the lighthouse. Afterwards, we headed to the restaurant nearby where he had a bouquet of roses and champagne waiting. It couldn't have been anymore perfect!”

This time Suraj and Amanda met up with their Cancun wedding photographers during a spectacular sunset on one of the Hard Rock Riviera Maya resort's oceanfront terraces. The welcome party was about to begin. They were radiant and elegant, and the way they looked at one another was the perfect glimpse into how the weekend would go.

Amanda and Suraj wanted their wedding to be so incredible that their loved ones would never forget it. Amanda planned the entire weekend without the help of a wedding planner and boy did she know what she was doing. They had six events in just three days!

The South Asian wedding photography tells the story of everything they participated in such as the Welcome Party with fire dancers and water drums, the beautiful Sangeet & Mehndi Ceremony, indulgent Baraat, intricate Hindu ceremony, a lovely Christian Ceremony, and, of course the the reception in the ballroom was the icing on the cake!

Seeing how Amanda planned all the events of her Hindu destination wedding weekend down to each detail, we can tell that she is a focused, organized and super generous individual. And with Suraj by her side, they are unstoppable. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this power couple!
